MosJan Posted December 4, 2001 Report Share Posted December 4, 2001 TURKEY CONCERNED WITH LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN GEORGIA BUCHAREST, DECEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS: Turkey's foreign affairs minister Ismail Cem said his country was concerned with the latest developments in neighboring Georgia. According to the press department of the OSCE, Cem announced about this during a session of the OSCE Ministers Council in Bucharest, Romania, which is holding currently the rotating post of the OSCE chairmanship. Cem was quoted as saying that Turkey defends territorial integrity, sovereignty and political unity of Georgia. "Turkey is sure that with the assistance of the international community Georgia will be able to overcome the current problems," Cem said. Meantime the Georgian Prime News agency has said that an opinion poll on its Internet site revealed that 57.2 percent of Georgians were for equal development of relations with Russia and USA.
