As a result, the Armenian Airlines regular flight from Yerevan to Athens and back was delayed on Friday, February 2. According to some sources at the civil aviation department, Turkish authorities have informed Armenia that the term for providing the air route, which was to last until March, has expired. The press secretary said Turkish authorities had not given clear explanations for the prohibition. On Monday February 5, the Turkish side announced that it would no longer block Armenian Airlines' planes from operating flights via Turkish air space.
