"As fully fledged citizens, Armenians strive to promote their newhomeland's prosperity, which, of course, is possible if new land ishospitable enough," Mikhail Beletsky told Analitika.at.ua. "Armenians' contributions to the life and culture of major powers likeRussia, France, U.S. is universally known, with Ukraine as anotherone of the countries having welcomed the Armenians," the expert said,specifically noting Armenian film director Sergei Parajanov in thiscontext. The expert further spoke of Armenians' involvement inUkraine's political life, wishing the newly-elected Armenian-bornparliamentarians to remember their duty to their voters, by followingthe suit of a well-known human rights defender, MP Genrikh Altunyan.
