Ara and Shamiram

Ara the ugly who has hijacked this subject(Culture) topic.

This is nothing new. Armenians and Assyrians(Asoris) have been warring over this subject for centuries, as to who was the master(mistress) and who the beggar.

Below you will find sites that show this not to be unique. The myth of the temptress is as old as ... the Garden of Eden (not to forget that Eden was in Armenia, and it was hijacked by those experts in the art of plagiarization).

I wish someone would write the definitive, complete and pictoral book about Armenian Mythology to compete with the best of hem such as Greek, Roman and others. They are proud of their ancient history(mythology), why are we ashamed!!!

Arpa, Much thanks! I have spent my entire afternoon reading Armenian (and other) mythology. It was a great way to spend a Saturday, to discover some new stories I had never even heard.

Hi Vava,

I have not forgotten.

I just posted two item about our mythological figures, Mher and Vahagn under the subject topic of Andznanunner. They don't really belong there, it was in response to questions.

Iwish they would be moved and given a proper subject topic such as Armenian Mythology in the general category of Culture, thereby giving us the chance to add and edit as necessary. Who know, we may even have one of geeks add pictures and graphics to them. Not me. I don't have the tools or the talent for that.
