How to explain the shameless arrogance

of self-appointed commissars of culture

who have not yet acquired the skill of

reading and understanding simple sentences in the English language,

and yet, take it upon themselves

to attack all ideas that do not echo

their own misconceptions, fallacies, and prejudices?

The answer must be:

they don’t speak for themselves;

they simply parrot the views of the dominant minority,

the very same minority

that ruthlessly and systematically silenced

all forms of dissent and criticism.

 

It is extremely difficult to enlighten an Armenian

without making him hate you.

Hovannes Toumanian knew what he was talking about when he said: "If you want to enlighten, burn!"

I suspect, what he probably meant to say was:

"If you want to enlighten, prepare to be incinerated."

 

I am not a believer (sinner that I am) and I don’t pray.

But if I did, I would say: "Thank you Lord for allowing me to live in a democracy

where commissars of culture

(mostly self-appointed, unpaid, unwanted, unneeded)

very much like toothless dogs,

can bark only from a distance.

 

What I know and understand is such a tiny fraction of the whole

that it might as well be invisible to the naked eye.

But I know one thing that my detractors appear not to know:

I can recognize recycled pseudo-chauvinist crap when I see it.

 

MEMO TO MY DETRACTORS:

You must have a very low opinion of writers

if you think they can be intimidated and silenced with insults.

You must have an even lower opinion of the nation

if you think it needs your verbal trash

and gutter advocacy.

 

Writers are a harmless a bunch;

all they do is scribble, scribble, scribble.

They are a threat to no one,

except perhaps to the prestige of riffraff

parading as noble specimens of humanity.

 

When the gut speaks louder than the brain,

reason becomes a hostile intruder;

and the more reasonable an argument,

the more visceral the gut reaction.

What you call democracy is a lie too. If you ignore that you are not an intellectual but a deceitful person.

By the way you don't get insulted more tham you insult us. May be you are not reading what you write.

I don't claim to know and certainly don't claim I am educated enough to write political or other diatribes but I know enough to tell a honest intellectual from a deceitful person from what he writes.
