Its historic significance is remarkable. That declaration has manifested realization of the centuries old dream of generations of Armenians, and has made possible the existence of today's Armenia. After all the independent state should serve it's citizens not the other way around. In Armenia there is this joke going around. "Armenia is the most independent country of the world.
