OK. I have misunderstood you because the premise of your question was very unexpected.

 

Armenian language is the state language in Armenia, and the primary language of communication. The vest majority of grade and high schools in Armenia teach in Armenian.

 

P.S. The same concerns history and culture.

thanx MJ for your response I meant for example there are Russian courses in Russia for non Russians, and spanish and Basque in spain, are there such courses in Armenia to teach Armenian to the intrested people of other countries?

I am sure there will be such classes, at least due to the number of foreign embassys in Armenia.

Hello Tornado,

 

There are courses of Armenian language for foreign students in the Yerevan Medical University, as well as in the State Conservatory, where they study Armenian language for apporx. 1.5 year and then go on with their studies on speciality.

 

You can contact Yerevan State University by the e-mail of webmaster, asking him to provide the e-mail of the department dealing with the foreign students. I think there must be classes for foreign students who come to the YSU to study Armenian literature, history etc.
