What is Love?

I think real love means devotion, affection but also a degree of rationality that perpetuates this condition. A mix between a business transaction and the most romantic version of it.

On Armenian celebrities: George Bush also rumoured to be Armenian.

Hello again Gayanne.

I am not sure about what you saying about the business side of marriages. i think ppl marry for love, but then , people very rarely STAY in love for the rest of their lives, till death do them part? And I dont understand why all of a sudden divorces are so high on the increase!

I dont know, mabye Berj is a bit of an old romantic himself?

My parents? It was a bad marriage anyway, he always out spending her money, then he went with another woman when I was only 9 and I havent seen him since!

lol, guilty as charged

You recognized my style, did you?...lol... Yes, I was ArmenianCleopatra before, still am sometimes (symbolically at least)

What do I mean by the business analogy? I think it was brought into the discussion by someone else on the forum, but I subscribe to it 100%. To me, it's marriage based on compatibility, not love. I am in awe of that thing called love and I think everyone should experience it at least once in their lifetime, but I do not think anyone should marry for love. That's my basic position

yeah , I thought so.....

You have got a style haven't you? I think you are a very strong prominent character actually! We need loads more on this forum. (That are actually not afraid to DISSAGREE with people once in a while????)

The reason I asked was while I was plodding along looking for posts one day I stumbled across this big discussion, 3 pages long, about sexuality issues. I thought it was great, every1 had so much things to say. I never did know why they closed it down in the end.

I suppose he doent mean any harm really, but did you see Artur's messages? Weren't they just a SCREAM!

Oh , thank you... I'm chuffed... youre making me blush!

But listen, It's this idealised IMAGE, that some invent, in their own minds, (most probably becuase they are frightened of the reality) I dont think ANY human being possible to live up to those false expectations. OK, some, many do, can TRY to muddle through life like that, but there is only one person they are fooling. And that is themselves. Nobody else.

As long as we as people show self respect and respect towards others, it fine

Thank you!

He's saying that love isn't something you can write about, it's something you feel and just know it when you see it.

lol, I have to comment that if that's the case, then all those people shouldn't have wasted their time writing about it through the ages!!!!!!!!! ..lol...you see my point

I think it's something you can write about. The way THEY see love is, their induvidual perceptions and experiences. It doesn't mean that people have to take it to heart that's what love actually IS, just because they say so! I think it's up to the induvidual to be in love as they choose... or NOT, as the case quite often is! But when you get that special feeling, you know that it's right.
