Celebration of spring ...

As I had promised ... I'm letting you know that I'll be gone for a month or so In about 14 hours I will be on an Air France plane on my way to Paris, where I will be staying for about 12 days ... then an Armenian Airlines plane will fly me to my beloved home-city Erevan. For those of you who have lived in Erevan (or any part of Armenia) you must remember SPRING time and the smell of apricot trees and lilac trees in the air ... I smell it already Wish me a safe trip ... and wait for my impressions which I will post from Erevan.

Sounds excellent! Just watch those French people ... hope they won't be on a strike as usual (your bags may decide to stay a few extra days in Paris so have the really important stuff in your carry-ons)

Bon Voyage and have a great time.

When I was there at some restaurant, I don't know what I ordered but they brought me raw duck meat ... that was the most discusting thing I have ever eaten. The waitress couldn't understand anything I was saying so instead of making the situation worse (who knows what she would have brought me instead) I ate the frigging thing http://zr2.cs.ucla.edu/Sip/zr2/barf.gif ... Paris and San Fransisco ... both are on the end of my list of places I want to be

If this is considered good weather in Paris then I feel sooooo sorry for Parisians --- the sun is shining but the wind is blowing you off the ground. Its hot one second, cold the next --- no wonder my cold keeps on getting worse and worse. I need some home-made chicken soup

But all aside --- Paris is gorgeous --- we went up the Tour De Eiffel tonight --- what a site ...

Sulamita jan, don't forget to go to Montmartre, muse d'orse, and my favorite all the great little places to eat on the left bank. If you like champaign, you should also try to visit L'Epine to one of the great champaign houses for a tour. It is fun.

Azat jan ... I did go to Montmartre and loved it !!! I even had my portrait drawn (FYI - I look 10 years younger in the picture lol) ... and I met an Armenian artist by the name of Samvel, who also was drawing potraits. The city was gorgeous from Montmartre ... what a site !!!

I did not have time to see Muse D'Orse but Louvre was just too much to handle in one day ... seeing Mona Lisa was enough to make my head spin. We had to leave after 3.5 hours.

.................................................

It's been raining in Erevan for the past few days. I could complain but I won't. Erevan is gorgeous in spring ... even if its raining.
