Azat Posted February 26, 2002 Report Share Posted February 26, 2002 Inventor Ichiro Shiio of Tamagawa University in Tokyo has created a system to notify office workers when fresh coffee has been brewed. When the coffee maker finishes pumping hot water through the coffee filter, it sends a wireless signal to remote devices in every office in the building. The "Meeting Pot" devices produce the smell of coffee, so everyone knows to run to the break room and pour themselves another cup. Now if one can produce one of these devises for wine to notify me when there is a bottle of wine opened in the building I'll be all set. Oh ya, and cognac for Movses and since Harut is underage, Pepsi for him. How do you like that title Sip? I bet you looked at it thinking that I had a sample code or something like that. In fact, I think i'll send her a PM. Anyway, back to java. I'm glad you weren't talking about the prog. language, I don't really know that one yet. I learnt C++. I want to learn java in the future though. It's always the way, that they start teaching the lastest language, that's supposed to be the "in" language of the future, then when you have finished, another one is introduced! What can you do after all. I don't really think that Coffee device is really going to take off to tell you the truth. everyone rushing to the break room, I don't really see employers going for the idea, though the workers will. Students definately. Though I think it would take off in Armenia. But then, I have read articles about people being allowed to skin up in the church! Whether it's true or not;I do not know. There is a company in Israel that is working on this "smell" technology that will allow sites to out out a special smell when you visit. Just think, if you get an add from McDonalds and the smell of fries comes off your computer. It is prtty cool technology.
