Azat
For all of you wondering where to put your money during these turbulent economic times. If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Budweiser (the beer, not the stock) one year ago, drank all the beer, then traded in the cans at a redemption center for the nickel deposit, you would have $107.00. Given the current conditions of the economy, my advice is to drink heavily and recycle. Let the Summer begin!
Sip
Ament to that ... Yesterday was a good day. My stock in ZOOX went up about 73% !!! It went from about 11.5 cents per share to around 20 cents per share. I bought it at around $50 per share a couple of years ago. Viva la Capitalism ... It's hard to believe but I am much happier now that I am almost broke and just a poor student as opposed to when I was working 2 or 3 jobs and making lots of money ... getting up early in the morning to check the market ... then getting nervous all day and then also all night checking the asian markets ... screw that! No more for me
Azat
Is zoox - godzoox networks? I had a friend that got in to that when is was 80s. He was a bonehead investor and I was a bigger bonehead because I use to listen to his stock advice
Sip
Yup ... I really believed SANs (storage area networks) would catch on big time. ZOOX is one of the few companies that really has some good stuff (technically). But then they got dragged down by this massive market crashes ... lost a few big contract opportunities ... and their management did some pretty stupid stuff so now they are just penny stock
Azat
I know the feeling. I left a job at IBM(Tivoli) as a Sr Developer working on software management tools for a startup that offered me boat load of options when the options were at couple of dollars each. I thought in 2-3 years I was going to be a millionaire few times over. (huhhh sucker) Today they are trading at 2-3 pennies. Never had chance to look at Gadzoox, but worked extensively on EMC, IBM, and HDS devices and their software to manage them.
