a georgia ussr abarantsi who lived in Yerevan in 1992 during the fuel shortages was being hassled by his wife to get some of the expensive scarce electricity " always nagging'"

he screamed "why can't you be like my mother, the saint, she used to save on electrical bills and candles too by sitting in the dark instead of watching TV and eating her food cold"

his wife informed him that if he wanted sex he'd better get some electricity with that the Georgian abarantsi fled out the door (note: at this time in Armenia due to scarce electricity thanks in part to azeribaijan, turkey, and the ol'USA influencial people were tapping into electrical power lines set for schools hospitals and municipal buildings) about an hour later he came back and said "through my connections I've seen to it that we now have electricity" so in a little while all was well in the abarantsi apartment all the lights were on the oven was baking the tv was broadcasting its noxious tripe and the wife was talking on telephone bragging to her mother about her clever abarantsi husband who got her free electricity all was indeed well until about a hour later when the Yerevan rush hour started the lights the tv the refrigerator the telephone would stop working for a time and then turn on again and then switch off and then would switch on this happened for about two hours when the abarantsi's wife happened to look out the window and saw a bunch of extension cords connected to each other and to the traffic light on corner every time the light turned green they received electricity every time it turned red they didn't "stupid husband" said the wife "do you call this electricity?"

"always nagging" yelled the Abarantsi

"youre getting electricity for FREE!
