MosJan Posted October 2, 2001 Report Share Posted October 2, 2001 A SPORT COMPLEX TO BE BUILT IN GYUMRI GYUMRI, OCTOBER 2, ARMENPRESS A large sport complex will be built in the second largest Armenian town of Gyumri in the next two-three years with a total cost of about $12 mln. The program, to be realized by Hayastan Pan-Armenian fund, will be financed by 'Alliance Armenie,' an organization of Catholic Armenians of France. A relevant agreement was made with the organization and the list of facilities, the complex is supposed to shelter, has been already received. According to the sport department of the governor's office, the sport complex will have a closed stadium with 5,000 seats, two open stadiums, tennis-courts, a game hall with 1,000 seats, weight-lifting and wrestling gyms, rehabilitation center and swimming-pool, as well as other facilities for sportsmen and sport fans.
