• In the coming future, in Gyumri, one more church will be constructed, the church of the St. Saviour. The construction works had been financed by the family of the mayor, Vardan Ghukasyan.

  -For 12 years I had turned to St. Etchmiadzin with the request to help with the restoration of the St. Saviour church, says Shirak diocese leader Michael the bishop Adjapahyan.   After the completion of the construction works, the mayor is going to turn to St. Etchmiadzin to ask to help with the interior of the church. On this stage the opinion of St. Etchmiadzin will be taken into consideration in order not to infringe the traditions of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The bishop had announced that the entire internal works will be carried out on the means of the church.
