Of late, in the past couple of decades we have seen so many mini-crusades to save the mehmets from the ahmed depots You think those neo-crusaders would mind their own business like protecting Chris from Iblis.***

Those ill conceived Crusades began in 1095 AD by the then Pope, ostensibly to liberate the Holy Land from the “ muslim infidels”. After 400 years of one defeat after another the whole operation was ended whereby those “infidels” not only took the entire region but totally cleansed it from those so called “christian knights”, to only facilitate the ottoman hegemony over the lands.

Now, after over 1000 years we are witnessing a “new and improved ‘crusade‘ “, except this it is not to punish the infidel V the Christians, but to prevent a massacre of muslim V muslim.

Who says that the west/Europe is obligated to prevent one dog eating another? Who is the modern “pope” to declare war on the “infidels”?

Where are their muslim Arab brothers? Or are each of them sitting on potential fire? Remember that Saudia is massacring their kin and kith in Bahrain. Remember also the Saudia is majority Sunni and Bahrain is majority Shiite.**

Why is that only the US, France and Britain are involved?

Where are the other so called NATO Allies, particularly that so called “staunch NATO ally“ also known as furkey?

**Bahrain is an island, a monarchy, a dynastic emirate of sorts, of 268 sq mi, smaller than NY City, 1/100 th the size of Armenia/ /20th of Artsakh with a population of about ½ million. Those “ayrabs”, they multiply like rats. Does circumcision “play” a part? Amot!!!

Btw. “Bahrain means (between) “two seas”, not unlike Mesopotamia/Միջագետք that means “between two rivers“. Hi Nairi! You already know that it is from Assryran” nahr=river”. The Arabic of “mesoptamia” is “bein nahrein=between two rivers”. بين النهرين

At times the Egyptians call the Nile “nahr= river” and at other times they call it “bahr=sea”. It all depends where in Egypt one lives. At the south Aswan dam wher it is a riveror in the north Alexandria at the delta wherev it is a tributary of the Mediterranean.

Protests in Syria have escalated today with thousands on the streets in the wake of government attacks on protesters.

Five people were killed in the city of Daraa on Friday by government police officers, according to the AP. Now protests are expanding the city, with NBC reporting city's Palace of Justice, youth union, and revolutionary union buildings are on fire.

Syria's president, Bashar al-Assad, has just fired Daraa's governor in a bid to quell protester fury. Students who were arrested in Friday's protests have also been released, according to reports.

U.S., Allies Launch Attack On Libya

(RTTNews) - The U.S., U.K. and France launched an air and sea attack on Libya to enforce an U.N. mandated no-fly zone over the strife-torn nation, media sources reported on Saturday. The strikes seek to repel forces loyal to Libya's belligerent leader Col. Moammar Qadhafi from rebel held areas.

The first salvo of the operation code named "Operation Odyssey Dawn" was from a French plane followed by a barrage of cruise missiles from a British submarine and American Naval vessels. Media reports, quoting Pentagon officials, said the U.S. and the U.K. fired more than 110 Tomahawk missiles.

Speaking in Brazil at the start of a five-day trip to Latin America, U.S. President Barack Obama said, "We cannot stand idly by when a tyrant tells his own people there will be no mercy."

The initial targets of today's assaults were air defense sites. According to information provided by the Pentagon, Libya has about 30 sites with surface-to-air missiles that pose a grave threat to foreign warplanes.

The forces' main targets were confined to the eastern areas of Sawani, Airport Road, and Ghasheer, all of which are believed to host military bases.

Libyan T.V., quoting military officials, said about 48 people were dead following the air strikes, with further 150 reported to be wounded.

Meanwhile, the British Government confirmed that its planes and submarines were involved in the attacks, even as Canada, Norway, Denmark, and Qatar are expected to be part of the strikes today

Friday's U.N. resolution 1973 saw ten of the council's members voting in favor of a no-fly zone, while Russia, China, Germany, India, and Brazil abstained.

Remember when during the operation Iraq the US forces were denied access to the US bases.

Of course!! “staunch ally” as long as the operation is against the infidel gavurs”like the Serbs and Armenians, not against their brothers of the "deen ul haqq/دین ال حق". Did I say their so called "religion" is in their vartik, or in their hair, I mean the hair on their head not you know where just as all "relgions" are in my v***?

Their shalvar should be taken down and show the world that “emperor/sultan” has no clothes/vartik.

(AGI) Ankara - Turkey will not join in the military intervention in Libya but could take part in humanitarian operations. The assertions were made by the Turkish Premier, Recep Tayyp Erdogan, according to the Hurriyet daily newspaper.

"Our combat forces will not join in. We cannot imagine our planes dropping bombs on the Libyan population," said Mr Erdogan. "We do not want Libya to become a second Iraq, where over a million people were killed." The Turkish Premier was at pains to point out his intention of helping to distribute humanitarian aid, and said he would be prepared to allow his naval fleet to patrol the area between Crete and Benghazi in the Mediterranean Sea. . .

What the H does NATO mean? Why is furkey in it?

NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization. What is furkey “north” of? How is furkey associated with “atlantic”, be it north or south. One thing we know it is south of Russia?

 

ANKARA, Turkey — NATO appeared on Thursday to move closer to assuming command of the military operation in Libya when Turkey's foreign minister was quoted as saying an agreement has been reached.

The alliance needs the approval of all 28 of its members in order to coordinate the operation, and Turkey had set conditions on that role for NATO.

"The coalition that was formed following the Paris meeting will abandon the mission and hand it over entirely to a single command system under NATO," Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was quoted as saying by Turkey's state-run Anatolia news agency.

"All of Turkey's concerns, demands on the issue have been met," he said, and NATO has promised to complete the work needed to take over the Libya mission "within one or two days."
