gamavor
ARMENIA`S EX-PRESIDENT PROPHESIES MUBARAK`S FATE FOR ARMENIAN PRESIDENT news.amFeb 18 2011Armenia The growing social discontent in Armenia will develop into a socialoutbreak, Serzh Sargsyan will inevitably share Hosni Mubarak`s fate,Chairman of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), Armenia`sfirst president Levon Ter-Petrosyan stated at an ANC rally today,February 18. According to him, the Armenian people do not live better than people inKyrgyzstan, Egypt or Tunisia, and the incumbent Armenian authoritiesare not at all less authoritarian than their Egyptian and Tunisiancounterparts. A major part of Levon Ter-Petrosyan`s speech dealt with the worseningsocio-economic situation in the country over the last three months. The ANC leader`s speech was focused on the "authorities` attacksagainst small and medium businesses," particularly increased customsduties, compulsory car insurance and ban on street trading. The ANC leader stressed the importance of more frequent socialprotests, being critical of their organizers. "Their major blunderis their abstaining from political statements. They hope they willeasier succeed. But it is only by making political demands than onecan get anything," Ter-Petrosyan said. The more frequent social protests are evidence of deep domesticprocesses. Although the ANC still considers Azerbaijan`s threats, the situation may reach a stalemate. "If the social situation goeson worsening at such a rate, people may just ignore this threat,"Ter- Petrosyan said. http://xecutrix.usc.edu/news/msg361206.html PS: That Armenia has no opposition is not something new. The self-proclaimed opposition in Armenia is so out of place, trends and vision that it really wouldn't be a big loss if there were no opposition at all. Look at this old crook what he is saying: The ANC leader`s speech was focused on the "authorities` attacksagainst small and medium businesses," particularly increased customsduties, compulsory car insurance and ban on street trading. Tzo Abush! Where in the civilized world there is no mandatory car insurance? Moreover, in a corupt and criminal country like Armenia, they should make full autocasko mandatory!!! Where in the civilized world (except your native Syria) street vendors are allowed to sale their miserable products wherever they want, without handing out cash-register receipt? In which self respecting country that tries to protect national industry, the customs duties are low?
