BAZHAK MAZHAK KHAZHAK

Mazhak is the historical Armenian name of Kesaria

Khazhak, at times used as a personal name in fact means “hazel eyed”;

Some have interpreted it based on բաժանելbazhanel, “to divide”. This may be partially true as the cup divides the main container into portions, like “բաժակել/ բաժան ել”

The word is found in many other neighboring languages, all the way from Sanskrit, Assyrian , Persian and Hebrew.

Let us begin with #3

Pss.23

[5] Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over

A bitter glass, much like the Socrates’ glass of Hemlock

This?

Matt.26

[27] And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

[39] And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

[42] He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

SKIH

There seems to be no such word. It seems to be ՍԿԻ/SKI without the ending H, which further redirects us to ՍԿԱՀ/skah ՄԵԾԲԱԺԱԿ/Large cup. From the Assyrian “esqefa”. Also note that “սկահակ/skahak” is the diminutive form to mean “small cup”.
