Guest Fadi
Amnesia Strikes New Turks. . . "WE HAVE TO FIND THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION: IS THE ARMENIA GENOCIDE REAL? WE CANNOT RECOGNIZE THAT QUESTION NOT KNOWING THE ANSWER." YEREVAN (PanARMENIAN.Net)--During an interview with reporters--having just completed a meeting with the European Commission's Romano Prodi, Justice and Development Party (AKP) leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan was asked whether the new Turkish government would recognize the Turkish Genocide of Armenians. His response: "We have to find the answer to the question: is the Armenian Genocide real. We cannot recognize that question not knowing the answer." Knowing that PanArmenian is not a very credible source, I wonder if anyone knows of a better source for that info.

Guest Fadi
From the supposed leader of the new Turkish government interogating about whatever or not there was a genocide. I think it worths some temporary fixation. No ? [ November 24, 2002, 11:32 AM: Message edited by: Domino ]

But if we go wandering about every statement that everyone important or unimportant else makes, we would keep ourselves busy by just reacting to these things for another 85 years... Don't you think so?
