ՄԷՂՐ- ՄԵՂՈՒ

Honey -Bee

This may also fit in the category of LANGUAGE.

In another post we saw that the insect wasp is known as “ishameghou/donkey bee” and the Honeybee is simply known as “meghou”.

When we look up “ՄԵՂՈՒ” we are redirected to “ՄԵՂՐ”

No, it is not from Pers_Arabic . They call it ‘asal/عسل’

ՄԵՂՐ- Բնիկ Հայերէն բառ pie- mel

See below the Greek and the Latin.

This is a test Who knows what մեղրապոպ/meghrapop is, and the English name for it?

Hint..

Greek- μέλι (meli)

Latin-miele = honey (lit.); sweetness, sweet

"μηλοπέπων" (mēlopepon),

"μῆλον" (mēlon), +"apple" "πέπων" (pepōn),

Also. Why is that town ՄԵՂՐԻ/Meghri is named so?

Btw. Meghri is also a River.

To not forget that in Marash dialect Parmer/Պարմէր aside of its meaning of "mother in law" means "Queen Bee"
