gamavor
SWISS FOREIGN MINISTER ARGUES AGAINST HALFNESS OF ARMENIAN-TURKISH RECONCILIATION PROCESS ArmInfo2010-09-30 11:00:00 ArmInfo. On September 29, Armenian parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyanmet Swiss Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey within the frames ofhis visit to Switzerland. As the parliamentary press service reports, during the meeting thespeaker emphasized that Armenia gives high priority to developmentof multi-vector relations with Switzerland, in particular, tothis country's intermediary mission during solution of differentinternational problems. According to him, the Armenian authoritieshighly appreciate the assistance by Switzerland aimed at implementationof social and economic reforms in Armenia. The parties also discussed the Armenian-Turkish reconciliationprocess. In this context, H. Abrahamyan said the preconditions, set forth by Turkey, are unacceptable for Armenia, and, taking intoaccount inappropriate delays of ratification of the protocols inthe Turkish parliament, President Serzh Sargsyan recalled them fromthe Armenian parliament agenda, having however preserved Armenia'ssignatures under the documents. In her turn, Swiss FM emphasized that this process cannot remainunaccomplished: active consultations are currently going on with bothparties to create favourable conditions to continue the talks. "Switzerland is quite decided about promotion of the process",she added. http://groong.usc.edu/news/msg339624.html It is obvious that this time around it has nothing to do with Armenian-Swiss relations, rather Armenian-Turkish relations. The process is not only stalked, but it was clear to the international public that it leads to dead end. Turks are not to be trusted not now not ever. Second, it should be stressed very clearly to the West that Armenia has lost her interest in opening the border with Turkey. Let them try to lure us with something else.Finaly, Armenia should not get involved with any kind of negotiations with any western power before the latter make clear it stand on Armenian Genocide issue. Other than that all are welcomed to enjoy Armenian hospitality, cognac, dryed fruits, real estate, etc...)
