There are, currently, "Genocide Museums" in Erzurum, Van, and Igdir. The one in Kars (which was just a display case in the town museum) seems to have been removed. They have been there since the early 1990s. None of these places are "touristic-cities".

thank you very much , for your stand . Do you actually try to talk to any one of us Turks. May I also ask you whether you would call yourself a " Turk" or not.

 

As you well know there are many different ethnic minorites in turkey , I am one of those minorities. I was under the impression that we were all one people under the same flag. Am I gravely mistaken ? Would you like to talk to your own country men about your views ? There are lots of ears there to listen too.

What exactly you think you are achieving with your postings here ?

I am sorry to hear that you don't feel turkish. I am sure you must of heard the famous case of " Cerkez Ethem " in our country. Should I also start to identify myself as not turkish ? If I start doing this , what about my Kurdish Uncle ? Is it not more important to have a national identity that encompasses all of us - despite all the differences we evidently possess? Is isn't that what USA does with it's own people.

 

I currently hold dual citizenship & don't feel that my " Cerkez" identity is being comprimised at all. It may be different for

"Christian Minorities" but that is exactly the point I am making here.

Your people & ours have been living together since 1453 in Istanbul.

I am sorry that you don't feel being one of us.

 

As to this site inciting hatred amongs your child & mine , I would say judging by the posts i have read from those Diasporian Armenians , that is exactly what is being played. Some powers some where can not stomach the fact that you & I live in the same land.

 

I understand that your people have been accused by tabloid popular media as " Liers & Genociders" , I also understand that this to be not entirely true. It is only a reactionary behaviour , as you well know

"Turk" don't hold grudge's and inclined to adopt a view of live & let live on the whole. How else you can explain the Kurdificaton of Istanbul. I remember Istanbul in 1960's , it certainly was a very different place then.

 

There are lots of problems in our country & we need to solve them.

Unfortunately in this global world the best educated of our people are choosing to live abroad ( Me included).

I hope your new life would bring you happiness & piece of mind.

I only hope that you also teach your child that we are not the monsters

but have also good sides to our character too.

Since when being associated with the bloodiest flag on Earth is something to be proud of? Having in mind the "great" contributions of the turks, the most natural and human thing is to hate them like hell and this is not only an Armenian thing. It is a European thing. I just said to circassian i didn't feel Turkish being a citizen of Turkey,as i can't be Chinese if i were a citizen of China.

There's a false belief of Turkey,most of the people get angry-i dont mean it's you circassian-if you say 'i am armenian or kurdish.'This is only for two of all ethnicities.Nobody gets angry if you say'I am laz,bosnian,arab'.Is it wrong Circassian?

Circassian,we're not living together since 1453,we were here for 3 or 4 thousands of years.Turks came in 12th century.We dont breed hatred amongst us,it's only we share what we live,feel or what we heard.

But if there's hatred in some of us,please think who belongs the seeds.

MANY PEOPLE VISIT GENOCIDE MONUMENT AND MUSEUM IN IGDIR

 

Many people visit Genocide Monument and Museum in eastern Igdir

province after the adoption of the law on so-called genocide on

Armenians by the French parliament, the officials said on Monday.

 

The Genocide Monument and the Museum, which was opened on February 5,

1999 for the memory of the 80 thousand Turkish people who were

massacred by the Armenians in eastern Igdir province and the region

between 1915-1920, have been visited by many people recently.

 

The officials of the museum said there was an increase in the number

of the people visiting the Genocide Museum and the Monument after the

French parliament adopted the law on so-called genocide on Armenians.

 

 

There are visitors coming even from Nahcevan, said officials.
