YOu see, the Armenians came into the town, and the Azeri population fled. As they were fleeing, Azeri troops started firing on Armenian positions, while doing so, killed their own civilians. They then said the Armenians killed 18 Azeri civils, then it became 200, then 2000, then 20,000..... There is no doubt that some Armenians DID commit atrocities during the war (as is always the case in war) but these were few and far between. The Azeris killed hundreds to thousands of us, not that what little we did do was justifiable. I know we didn't do much because AVO would not stand for it. I'm sickened by the thought that even just one-tenth of the Khojaly Massacre text is true. Makes me think twice about bringing up our Genocide.
