Like Popeye will say- “I yam what I yam, I yam the Popeye Man”!

Among many, the three words that are subject to revision here are- “Idiot, Imbecile and Moron” .

Now, let us see what they mean.

One dictionary is silent, another has-

Moron=Բթամիտ, տկարամիտ.

This brings to mind Տ-խեղծ that one dictionary defines as “deformed, ugly, malformed”. Does not that sound like it is based on the negative prefix Տ/T, Տ- խելք (L=GH/Ղ) without brain? Also not to forget “տ-խմար”

Before we get to the etymology/armatakan of each, let us rememeber that the “Տ/T” prefix is a negative expression as in “գեղ/gegh= beauty and տ-գեղ/t-gegh” means “without(beauty/ugly)”.

Ps. Ah! I forgot “cretin”.:
