Guys I am excited! I "officially exist" on the net.

If you type my full name Ruben Sahakian or sahakianart google shows 1st 2nd results my site.

For a while it was not coming up at all so I thought maybe I did something wrong designing the site but it takes time (2weeks for me) for google to crawl your site.Anyway I thought to share.

Check it out and feedback is appreciated.Lot of people have asked me why I mostly paint women.Well to be honest its a beautiful timeless subject and endless possibilities and I find woman's body inspirational not dirty way but being part of nature like trees,rocks,flowers,stars everything that makes our universe.

I was reading about Matisse and interesting that he really went to volunteer to fight in ww1 but his eye site was weak and got rejected.At that time he was already making good living selling his work specially Russian millionaire (jew) Shushkin.Anyway when you look at his work during war times you would not even guess there were millions of people getting killed.

Some labeled him bourgeois artist rather erroneously.I am going through some of the darkest days of my life and I can't paint that because if I do it would be very moody and even ugly...

Basically what I am saying is absence of dark subjects does not mean one doesn't go through them.Its just filtering process.
