Please don't let me repeat that in the Armenian "bamia" is a euphemism.(Use your imagination)

Welcome to the club mr. mollazade. We are glad that at least some people appreciate the “power” of the Armenian Lobby in the Diaspora. One can only wish that Yerevan would also realize that “power”, stop pussyfooting around , sign proctocols in total silence, and then insult the Diaspora by signing on the dotted lines to ratify the “border”, create a “historical commission” , promise to cede lands won with the blood of 25,000 martyrs….then turn around and express dissatisfaction that this year’s “tell-a-lie-a-thon” was less than expected. Fleece, cheat and kill diasporan investors, then wonder why more diasporans are not investing or moving to live there…Remember that those diasporans who moved there in 1945-46 waited 50 years to finally move back out, that is those who survived “Siberia”.

If you think this post is provocative.. You are right!

I know at least one person (family) in our neighborhood who had immigrated as a child, had been to Siberia, and as soon as he was released he got out as if running from a house on fire. He and his family subscribe to the Kilikian Church and will not go back, not even as a tourist even if given a “golden passport”.

Why do most diasporans say something like “Yerevan-Erebuni (New York, NY), a wonderful town, good to visit, but I would never want to live there”. When a lousy hotel room in Yerevan cost $200 a night (10,000 drams, that in America would go for $20). But who is complaining??

This year’s telethon had Shushi as a come-on keyword. We will see when even one stone is piled over another, build new homes, and above all, how many families will move there? A city that at one time had 40,000 inhabitants and today has less than 4,000. Why are we cleansing those lands , driving the azis out if we will not populate them? When the entire number of so called Armenians all over the world (6 million outside and 2 million inside) is less than the population of “baku province”?

Yes, yes I know. Mongolia with a land size 604,000 sq miles (60 times the size of RA, 3 times the size of Texas) has a population of less than 3 million. How many Mongolians have abandoned their land, emigrated to Glengolia? How come we have not written new and nostalgic songs about Yerevan lately?

Please! Leave me alone. Let me snore. Wake me up when -

Azerbaijani deputy says Armenians conduct serious activity in US Congress

The Armenian lobby has big influence not only in the US, but worldwide, the Azerbaijani Democratic Reforms Party leader, parliament deputy Asim Mollazade told Day.az.

 

Referring to the allocations the US Congress made to Armenia and NKR, he said it would be wrong to underestimate the Armenian lobby’s influence in the US and worldwide generally.

 

Only the fact that the Armenians managed to obtain financial aid for Nagorno-Karabakh under the world financial-economic crisis, evidences about the serious work the Armenian lobby conducted in the US Congress, he said.
