One dictionary defines “commission” as «կոմիտէ», committee. It makes sense since the Greco-Latin word means “to put together/commetre”.

Also defines “coercion“ (forced, under duress) as «պարտադրանք», literally to place, put “the blame/debt” on, to force, to place a debt.

As if WE owe THEM a DEBT!!!

What kind of debt? That we conquered stanbul?

Look at the Armenian etymological dictionary below «ՊԱՐՏ».

Contrary to my long time impression that “commission” had to do with “mission/missionary”/ ambassadors of (Christian) goodwill”, it turns out that word in fact means “to put together/co-mittere” (Consider the French word “metre/mis”/to put, to place). Look at the highlighted passage below “out of commission-out of use/non-functional“ a sign we see at public bathrooms. Is the Armenian “mission“ out of “commission“?

Does “commission” mean gathering 999 deniers versus 1 “Geno-historian”?

I had always thought that the word had to with “mission-ary/առաքելութիւն”?

See that it in fact is composed of “co-com-mission”, “together put-place” See the French “metre/mis”.
