Guest
MOTHER OF THE LATE PRIME MINISTER OF ARMENIA APPEALS TO THE IMPEACHMENT OF PRESIDENT KOCHARIAN 13.06.2000 13.57 13.06.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. "I'm surprised at the declarations that there are no enough bases today for the impeachment of the president", declared today to the Yerevan "Haykakan Zhamanak" paper Greta Sarkisian - the mother of the late prime minister of Armenia Vazgen Sarkisian, shot down by the terrorists on October 27 1999 in the Armenian parliament. "During the governing of Robert Kocharian the events of October 27 took place, an organized outflow of population from Armenia is being observed after he came into power. Aren't these circumstances enough basis for impeachment?", declared Greta Sarkisian. The mother of the late prime minister also said that with the appointment of Serzh Sarkisian to the post of the defense minister the president of Armenia "challenged us". It should be noted that the relatives of the victims of the terrorist act committed in the Armenian parliament have repeatedly declared that Serzh Sarkisian, who held then the post of the minister of national security of Armenia, is responsible for the fact that the special services could not prevent that crime. Greta Sarkisian also declared that the relatives of the victims of the October tragedy intend to adopt a joint statement concerning the course of investigation of "the case of October 27". "It's strange that in Nagorno Artsax such cases are revealed within 2 days while here the investigation lasts for 7 months already", she said. -0-
