MosJan
ANGELS IN LOS ANGELES Canada-based Apagay Armenian weekly informs that the residents of Los Angeles see painted angels on the walls of different buildings for already some time. The painted angels look alike but are different in character. There are about 410 pictures of angels in LA, which is a result of a planned program. Local ‘American volunteers’ and ‘Catholic brothers’ organizations, following the example of ‘Angels Community’ program held in Swiss Zurich city in 1998, paid a group of painters 1000 USD for implementing this program- decorating the city in this specific way. Among the painters 12 were recognized the best, among them being Armenian Sirun Eretsian, whose glass postures covered with pictures of Armenian style angels were placed in Century City. ABC TV channel sponsored Eretsian, whose angels represent not only Armenians, but all the nationalities who live and form the international city called Los Angeles. © Copyright AZG
