/PanARMENIAN.Net/ In the course of the anti-terrorist operation in Afghanistan two Azeris were taken prisoner by the Federal Forces. "Huriet" newspaper being published in Baku reports that their letters to the fatherland were transferred by the International Committee of the Red Cross. As it was discovered, both prisoners are in Guantinamo US military base in Cuba. One of them is citizen of Russia, resident of Astrakhan, the other is resident of Baku, but he left home two years ago and his parents did not know anything about him. As it became known, both young men were got to take part in the hostilities in Afghanistan by vahhabits.

TWO AZERIS CAPTURED IN AFGHANISTAN

 

FEBRUARY 11. Two Azeris were captured by federal forces during the anti-terror operation in Afghanistan. According to Baku media, they have sent letters to their families through the International Committee of Red Cross. The two prisoners are being held at the U.S. military base in Guantanamo, Cuba. One of them is a Russian citizen and the other a resident of Baku. Both were recruited to the combat actions by Wahabbis.
