MosJan Posted August 6, 2001 Report Share Posted August 6, 2001 CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION FROM CALIFORNIA COMPLETES VISIT TO ARMENIA A congressional delegation from California completed its four-day visit to Armenia. Members of the delegation expressed confidence that there are great opportunities for trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and the state of California. They are hopeful that within two months the governments of Armenia and California will sign a memorandum of understanding, which will mark the beginning of bilateral economic and trade cooperation. According to member of the delegation Joseph Simitian, Armenia has everything it takes to achieve real success in the IT sector. He also noted that the possibility of opening a California Chamber of Commerce in Armenia was discussed during the visit.
