MosJan
ARMENTEL TO WAIT WITH PER-MINUTE CHARGE INTRODUCTION Minister of Transport and Communications Andranik Margarian informed today that ArmenTel’s decision to introduce a per-minute charge for local phone calls will not be implemented yet. As a result of very hard and long negotiations with ArmenTel Director Nikos Georgulas, ArmenTel’s leadership got convinced that introduction of charges for local calls can increase the social tension in the country and agreed to wait. Obviously, the final word rests with ArmenTel’s owner, Greek OTE company. < 03.08.2001 00.17 >
