Thanks! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=CK16...jBmnkkFoA_3d_3d --------------------------------------------------------- I am sorry to be quite outside your subject, but I would be much interested by your work. I was born in France from Armenian parents. I can speak and read and write Armenian, but I have a French culture, as there were no Armenian school in our town. As a married a French man, my 4 children did not speak Armenian. But now that I am getting very old, they want me to teach them Armenian. Every evening I send them an armenian lesson by e-mail. My children and my 4 grand-children know everything about the Armenian genocide, and even their families and friends. They are all indignant about the denying of Armenian genocide by the Tukish government. One of my grand-daughters wants to learn armenian too. The others later on. Hi Louise- Yes, isn't it interesting to see how this thing called diaspora works, how Armenians in France, Russia, California, Argentina change, adapt Armenian life to different places? Thanks for sharing about yourself! I'm curious- what prompted your children and grandchildren to learn Armenian language now?

Thanks for sharing about yourself! I'm curious- what prompted your children and grandchildren to learn Armenian language now? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I said i am 83 years now and they think after me, nobody will teach them armenian. They are interested in their ancestor's history and culture. they read my articles in French in the forums in armenews and netarmenie, and I have a personal website, they read my translations of news and armenian poetry. melissa15k
I did not go into the survey. I stopped at the G word. Damnitttt! Is there no other Armenian subject than the G???? Can any one of those participants even read Armenian before or beyond the letter G? Hi Arpa, .... well, that's kind of what I want to study! Who does and who does not get excited about activism surrounding genocide recognition? Who are and who are not these kinds of activists? I was in an Armenian language class at UCLA where someone said, "Can we please stop talking about the genocide already? Aren't there other things to discuss about being Armenian?" I realize everybody has different opinions about this. I certainly don't endeavor to tell anyone what they should or shouldn't think. So, thank you for looking at the first page and letting me know why you don't want to take the survey. I appreciate your comment.
