Paul bunyan Posted September 25, 2001 Report Share Posted September 25, 2001 the Armenian National Commitee of America says the senator Sam Brownback a Republican from Kansas will introduce an amendment to the defense authorization bill, that will eliminate 907Freedom Support Bill which is the only deterent to the illegal and inhuman blockade policy of azeribaijan. despite the fact that azeribaijan conducts terror training camps for turk~cheechens and bin ladin's pals in that area of Nagorno~Karabagh where they committed the 1992 attrocities.and that azeribaijan has ties to thebombers of the US embassy in Nairobi.Brownback intends to introduce his amendment tonight or possibly tommorrow morning. the ANCA wants people to call up their congressmen's office and say that you want them to vote against Brownback's bill. please do this before its too late. (The amendment forbids the US administration to assist Azerbaijan until Azerbaijan stops the blockade of Armenia and Nagorno Artsax.) (As it is known, the Section prohibits the U.S. Administration to render aid to Azerbaijan until it raises blockade of Armenia and Nagorno-Artsax.) Hachikian stresses U.S. should not allow Azerbaijan to condition its assistance in antiterrorist operation in Afghanistan by repeal of Section 907. Moreover, Chairman of the Armenian National Committee of America considers inclusion of Azerbaijan in antiterrorist coalition dangerous, as it is practically proved that this country has ties with international terrorist Osama bin Laden. To support his words, Hachikian refers to the conclusion arrived at by Yossef Bodansky, director of the U.S. Congressional Task Force on Terrorism, who stated that Azerbaijan supported international terrorists trained by bin Laden and accepted "large quantities of cash from diverse terrorist sources." (As it is known, the Section prohibits U.S. Administration to render direct aid to Azerbaijan until it raises the blockade of Armenia and Nagorno-Artsax.) The letter says, "repeal of the Section will contribute to the amoral blockade of Armenia by Azerbaijan, which can take a harsher stand at the negotiations on the Artsax settlement."
