Louise Kiffer Posted April 9, 2009 Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 A friend is looking for history of Gurun, he lives in France but his grand-parents were survivvors of the genocide in Gurun. I know that a book has been written in Beyrut on the subject, but I have forgotten the author's name. The book has been published in armenian, and translated in English. It has not yet been translated in French. So, If anybody could give me information about the book in English, I 'll be happy. And if it is possible to get it. Thank you. I looked in the book of Raymond Kevorkian « Le genocide des Arméniens » Gurun was in the vilayet of Sivas, kaza of Gurun. The Armenians of Ayintab saw on may1915 hundreds of deportees from Zeytun,Marash, Ebistan, Gurun, Sivas, Furnuz. All were women and children. The grand-father of my friend was only 5 years old, He escaped with twelve other children, and they walked until KESKIN (I don’t know where it is) After, only 2 of them were alive. They went to Constantinople. I don’t know the rest of the story.The other name of GURUN are GAURENE / KURIN. That's not my story. My parents were adabazartsi. One wonders if the town was named for the Armenian sharp knife makers, buchakjian) was a corrupted form of Kessoun/Kassoun a suburb of Aintab and Marsash (See Rev. Yehgia Kassouny). Apparently not. You will not see it on any map but some sites suggest that it is between Aadapazar and Eskisheir in the vicinity of stanbul. Btw. adabazar means island market. SAS Posted June 3, 2009 Report Share Posted June 3, 2009 ՀԱՅԵՐԻ ԸՆԴՀԱՆՈՒՐ ԳԵՐԵԶՄԱՆ ՄԾԲԻՆ (ՆՈՒՍԱՅԲԻՆ) ԳԱՎԱՌԻ ՀԱՅԿԱԿԱՆ ԳՅՈՒՂՈՒՄ Հոկտեմբերի 17-ին Մարտին վիլայեթի գավառներից Նուսայբինի (Մծբին) Կուրու գյուղում, որը եղել է հայկական, գերեզման փորելիս գյուղացիները հանկարծ հայտնաբերել են արդեն ստորգետնյա դարձած մի քարանձավ: Քանի որ քարանձավի մուտքը փակ է եղել, ուստի այնտեղ մուտք գործելը մեծ ջանքեր է պահանջել նրանցից: 3 մետր լայնությամբ այս քարանձավում գյուղացիները հանդիպել են շուրջ 40 կմախքի, ինչը նրանց պարզապես ցնցել է: Զգալով, որ այդ քարանձավն իրականում 1915 թ. սպանված հայերի պատկանող ընդհանուր գերեզման է, նրանք իսկույն դիմել են հարեւան Աքարսու գյուղի ոստիկանական տեղամաս: Տեղամասի հրամանատարը գյուղացիներին կարգադրել է փակել քարանձավը եւ ոչ մի բանի ձեռք չտալ, պատճառաբանելով, թե Նուսայբինի դատախազությունը հետաքննություն է անցկացնելու: Թեեւ գյուղացիները Ռագըփ Զարաքոլուի «Օզգյուր Գյունդեմ» թերթի թղթակից Բերգյուզար Օրուչին ասել են, որ տեղյակ չէին ընդհանուր գերեզմանից, սակայն քարանձավի հայտնաբերման հետ վերստին շրջանառության մեջ են դրվել1915 թ. այս գյուղում սպանված 300 հայերին համատեղ թաղելու պնդումները: Վերոհիշյալ քարանձավի մասին տեղեկությունը «Ընդհանուր գերեզման հայկական գյուղում» վերնագրով «Օզգյուր Գյունդեմը» հրապարակել էր հոկտեմբերի 19-ին համապատասխան լուսանկարներով, որին արձագանքել է Եվրոպայում հեռարձակվող քրդական Roj TV-ն: Ինչը գրավել է ոստիկանության վերոհիշյալ տեղամասի ուշադրությունը: Տեղամասի պատասխանատուները մեկնելով գյուղ, ոչ միայն արգելել են մամուլի ներկայացուցիչների մուտքն այնտեղ, այլեւ հայտարարել, որ «Օզգյուր Գյունդեմի» հրապարակումը սուտ է, իսկ լուսանկարը՝ կեղծ: Նրանք միաժամանակ նախազգուշացրել են գյուղացիներին քարանձավի մասին որեւէ տեղեկություն չհայտնել մամուլին եւ ոչ մեկին ցույց չտալ դրա տեղը: Հոկտեմբերի 22-ին «Ընդհանուր գերեզմանը քողարկվում է» վերնագրով «Օզգյուր Գյունդեմը» մեկ անգամ եւս անդրադարձել է Նուսայբինի նախկին հայկական Կուրու գյուղի մերձակայքում գտնվող քարանձավին եւ նշել, որ ոստիկանությունը այնտեղ լուսանկարներ է արել, ապա արգելել է ելքն ու մուտքը, նախապես փակելով հայերի համար ընդհանուր գերեզմանի վերածված այս քարանձավը: Ինչ վերաբերում է Նուսայբինի դատախազությանը, ապա թերթը հիմք ընդունելով ոստիկանության վերոհիշյալ ձեռնարկումները, հանգում է հետեւյալ եզրակացության. «Քանի դեռ ընդհանուր գերեզմանը քողարկվում է, դատախազությունն այս քարանձավում հազիվ թե հետաքննություն անցկացնի»: ՀԱԿՈԲ ՉԱՔՐՅԱՆ http://209.85.129.132/search?q=cache:oNw10...=clnk&gl=ru Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
