Boghos Posted July 4, 2001 Report Share Posted July 4, 2001 July 3, 2001 The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia isorganizing one-month training seminars on Armenian studies for Diasporateachers, on August 1-30, 2001. It is planned to hold three differentseminars at a time: for elementary, secondary and high school teachers. A special program has been evaluated for training Diaspora teachers by theMinistry, and with the participation of the best teachers and scientistsfrom Armenia and the Diaspora. The training will be held both in Western andEastern Armenian. The program includes twelve subjects for elementary,eleven for secondary, and fifteen for high school levels. Each group will becomposed of twelve teachers. The participants will pass a test by the end ofthe program and will be given a special certificate. There is no participation fee for teachers. However, the participants shouldcover their own travel and accommodation expenses. Special tours will beorganized by the Ministry of Education and Sciences and the "Union ofConstantinople Armenians" of Los Angeles, CA.
