Guest
All Muslims lusted after and highly prized these women from the northern Caucasus. The Turks and Tatars made a habit of taking these women for their own harems as well as selling some to Arabic, Iranian and Indian Muslim elites. It is said that a "breeding farm" for Circassian women was developed for this purpose of raising and selling daughters. I have never seen a Circassian woman. How do they differ from Armenians and Georgians? Are they more lighter-skinned?
Guest
I don't know, The Chechens are Lighter skinned anmd more blond, so are the Ossetians. Abxazians are relatives of Circassians and I know Abxaz with black hair. I once saw an Adygyan boy from Syria and he was blond and fair skinned, Adygeyans are relatives of the Circassians, but also I know a Circassian girl from Jordan whose hair are dark blond had obviously a caucasian nose, but is not so fair skinned as the Chechens for example. BTW I noticed that the Persian poets from Central Asia fell in love with the Girls with black eyes and black hairs. Do you think that the original Indo-Europeans (east Iranian Sogdian speakers but later they used Persian langauge) of Central Asia were also lighter skinned/haired and those black haired were Asiatic nomads, who were recently there? maybe if it is true, will help you in your research.
