Andranik Safaryan has been selling flowers in front of the building located on 1/3 Buzand street day to night for the past four years. Andranik brings yellow, red and white roses from his garden every day. He is able to sell a maximum of two bouquets a day, but there are days when he only gets to sell one rose.

Stage director of the Hovhannes Abelyan State Drama Theatre of Vanadzor Janik Avetisyan has been dressing as Santa Claus and visiting children on New Year for the past 6-7 years. According to him, he is doing his duty. “When I visit a child, he waits for me the next year. I have to go. All children are waiting for a fairy-tale and for that fairy-tale to come true. The important thing is to make the visit of Santa Claus a real part of the fairy-tale.”

Visit of the work group to the “Nubarashen”, “Clinic for Convicts” and “Yerevan-Kentron” penitentiaries of the RA Justice Ministry With the assignment of the RA Ombudsman, the Ombudsman’s administration officials visited the “Vardashen” and “Yerevan-Kentron” penitentiaries of the RA Justice Ministry on December 25, 2008, met with detainees Sargis Hacpanyan and Hakob Hakobyan. On December 26, 2008, they visited the “Nubarashen” and “Clinic for Convicts” penitentiaries of the RA Justice Ministry, met with detainees Armen Khurshudyan, Ashot Manukyan and Gor Kocharyan.
