After the welcome ceremony the heads of state will head for the residence of the Armenian President for a formal dinner. The Presidents are scheduled to hold a tête-à-tête presidential to be followed by expanded talks during which a number of documents on cooperation will be signed. On October 21, the Presidents of Armenia and Russia will take part in opening ceremony of Square of Russia in front of the House of Moscow in Yerevan. MosJan Posted October 22, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 22, 2008 MEDVEDEV RECEIVED NOMINAL TUN In the evening of October 20 the Presidents of Armenia and Russian Serzh Sargsyan and Dmitry Medvedev visited Yerevan Cognac Factory, reported the press service of the Presidents Administration. The Presidents walked through the factory, got acquainted with the history and producing process of the oldest Armenian brandy. Dmitry Medvedev is the leader of the country which is a co-chairing OSCE Minsk Group; he was accompanied to Peace Tun where 1994 cognac spirit symbolizing the year of armistice is being aged. The tun is called peace tun because it will be opened in the day when the conflict of Nagorno Karabakh is finally regulated. Yerevan Cognac Factory gifted the President of Russia a nominal tun. MosJan Posted October 23, 2008 Author Report Share Posted October 23, 2008 THE DETAILS OF THE VISIT http://www.armtown.com/img/photo/has_en_299795069.jpgRF President Dmitry Medvedev, who was on an official visit in Armenia, visited the Genocide Memorial on October 21, in the morning, where he laid a wreath, after which he visited the Museum of the Genocide of Armenians and planted a tree in the Memorial Park. Later Presidents Serge Sargsyan and Dmitry Medvedev participated in the ceremony of the opening of the Square of Russia, where they came out with speeches. From the Square the two Presidents moved to the residence of RA President, where the tête-à-tête between Serge Sargsyan and Dmitry Medvedev took place. The Presidents of Armenia and Russia discussed the whole complex of Armenian-Russian relations, touched upon the process of the settlement of Karabakh issue, and the recent developments that took place in the region. They spoke about the urgent international topics as well. After the tête-à-tête negotiations with more participants was held. The discussions were based on Armenian-Russian economic relations, which grows consistently.
