I just saw a new and improved map of Armenia where it shows Vagharshapat where the Village of Ejmiatsin used to. Has the village been renamed, I.e leaving Ejmiatsin to be known as the Cathedral? Edir: It turns out that the city was known as Vagharhapat until 1945 when it was renamed Ejmiatsin. I don’t know why!
