When they find the irrelevant posts they should report to the Moderators and have the "off topic" posts be removed and if the conversation is interesting move it to a new chit chat topic with a title - Chit Chat - Moved posts!!! I am not altogether innocent of the sin either. I can clearly remember when I suggested to Hye Fedayis to please add items to ONE main topic of his choice, which he took as an insult. WE also remember when Vartahoor was doing the same when Movses took upon himself to consolidate his posts , which he also took as a meddling in his affairs. Dear Ashot, you are doing a wonderful job but my heart goes out to you as you are practically hoping for the impossible, that is as long as our correspondents will not take the time and trouble to search and see if the subject has been discussed before, it also goes against our EGO of “MY POST”, “I SAID HERE FIRST” syndrome, at times tantamount to SPAMMING. Please continue with your project, I will try and find duplications and repetitions for you , and I urge each and every one of us to do so. PS. Arpa Posted April 7, 2008 Report Share Posted April 7, 2008 Yes dear Ashot, I had noticed some time that Avril's post were consolidated, and I meant to add that those URLs were to have a short descrition of the contenrts to guide the searchers to the specific subject topic, something like "armenian orphans" or " tin city of aleppo" etc. otherwise a searcher will have very litttle choice in finding them unless they use "avril" as their search parameter.. Yes, that is exactly what I meant. To see all the topics with a description all one has to do is look up the memeber's profile and under the "options" click "member's topics". An aside. I guess what Avril means by "numeric library" is "digital library". He may have literally translated it from the French "lbrairie numeral/numerique" or something.
