Antoine
Might be nice if you post what you found ... in case someone else goes looking for the same thing ... Sure: Bank Ottoman Song Bank Ottoman has been seized By the Tashnagtzagan Committee In it they have filled Explosive, destructive bombs Every brave Armenian waited For that dear moment When would the bomb be thrown? And the enemy destroyed Behold, from the window fell A round grenade There trembled Sultan Hamid And his evil Izzet ***** When Hamid heard the news, He called Nazim to his side Go, he said, and calm Those agitator Armenians Bank Ottoman is placed Under the command of Papken Suni. There was martyred Papken Suni, The noble Tashnagtzagan giant His name terrified A hundred thousand Moslems And the one called Sultan Hamid The cruel race's Caliph

Arpa
Guys, I hate to deflate your egos, but the whole fiasco of Bank Ottoman was concocted by the young furks against the sultan and the Armenian dupes were used as the fall guys, while the sultan knew all about it about it before hand and was ready for it. It had nothing to do with the Armenian cause, it was imply an act against the ottoman sultanate. They let the Armenian boys blow themselves up before they intervened and used it as an excuse for the great hamidian Massacre of 1895 . They let the Armenian boys blow themselves up before they intervened and used it as an excuse for the great hamidian Massacre of 1895 . Actually, the incident happened after the Hamidian massacres and was a direct response to that... they took over the bank in August of 1896. And no one actually blew himself up. A few of the Armenians were killed and some Turkish guards were killed during the initial shootout but that's it. The intention was a (vain) plea of help from the world powers of the time which had money inside this bank. After a long standoff, all the attackers surrendered and were promised a safe trip to France. Sadly, the consequences were pogroms in Constantinople and a massacre in the native village of Papken Suni, the leader of the group. All the world powers ever did was "condemn" the bloody sultan.
