Ashot Posted February 29, 2008 Report Share Posted February 29, 2008 Bourgas City Council recognizes the Armenian Genocide 29.02.2008 16:54 On February 28 the City Council of the Bulgarian city of Bourgas adopted a special decision on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide with the overwhelming majority of the votes (43 pro and 2 cons). The main provisions of the decision include the recognition of the Armenian Genocide of 1915, the responsibility to commemorate April 24th as the day of the Armenian Genocide victims, the demand to the National Assembly of Bulgaria to recognize the Genocide.
