She is the daughter of Yeghishe Charents, the greatest Armenian poet of 20-th century. In 1945-50 she has been living in Kanaqer children's home. A graduate of Yerevan State University, the department of Philology. Her investments in creating Charents's home-museum are very considerable. She is the president of the home-museum's scientific council. She devoted almost twenty years of her life to spreading the literary works and the life story of Yeghishe Charents all over the country.
