gamavor
Tony Blair, president of Europe? By Susie Mesure Published: 13 January 2008 Tony Blair fuelled speculation he might run to become the first full-time European Union president yesterday after a speech in Paris. Mr Blair said EU countries could achieve more by acting together: "Terrorism, security, immigration, organised crime, energy, the environment, science, biotechnology and higher education: in all these areas, and others, we are much stronger and able to deliver what our citizens expect from us as individual nations if we are part of a strong and united Europe." He was speaking at the invitation of the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, at a conference of the country's centre-right ruling UMP party. However, a role as EU president could conflict with the portfolio of advisory roles Mr Blair seems keen to take up. He accepted a job at investment bank JPMorgan last week. http://news.independent.co.uk/europe/article3333868.ece PS: I just have one question. Is Europe collectively on drugs? Ashot
Get a load of this, Pres. Sarkozy - the French dude... the guy is insane, he is crazy... he devorces a day after he becomes a president, then he starts going out with an Italian model... Sarkozy takes his new G.F. the Italian chick to a meeting in Egypt, Egypt sends the Italian chick right back to France, and states that we do not accept this kind of behavior, you can eigther be with a wife or alone!!! Poor people of France, they had no one better to choose, second candidate was a female, third one was a villager, the fourth one was about to die! Damn what has the world come to... Aubépine
Apparently Sarko got married on Thursday. He probably wanted to get even with his former wife who dumped him for another guy. What a loser.
AVO
And look at those priorities Terrorism, security, immigration, organised crime, energy, the environment, science, biotechnology and higher education What does that order tell you? Aubépine
Good point. But the first two "priorities" are imaginary only and meant for other countries to toe the line. It's also a good indication that he will continue to be his master's voice.
