Genocide Monument Opens In Sydney

YEREVAN (Armenpress)—A monument commemorating the victims of the Armenian genocide committed by the Turkish government in 1915 opened in Syden, Australia.

 

The monument is the result of the joint efforts of Armenian communities of Sydney and Melbourne with a strong 30,000 members. The opening of the monument was carried out by the governor of New South Wales Patrick Deen after meeting with the Armenian Olympic team.
