ExtraHye
I just got a warning letter from the "Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority" today. The letter says: Public safety in our parks has always been the number one concern of the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA). Hikers, joggers, school classes, and strollers frequent the roadways of our parks. As more and more drivers share the roads with people-especially as alternative routes to congested city streets-the potential for serious injury increases. While MRCA Park Rangers serve as California Peace Officers, they also perform maintenance, interpretation, and fire rescue duties at parks throughout the Southern California region. Photo enforcement of traffic violations makes sense to keep all park users safe, while making drivers more aware of the potential hazards around them. The Photo Stop Sign Enforcement Program uses automated camera systems and sensors to detect stop sign violations. A stop sign violation consists of a vehicle not coming to a complete stop behind the limit line. The vehicle is detected automatically and the camera system records images of the vehicle and surroundings. The date, time, location, posted speed limit and the vehicle's speed are included on each image when the violation occurred. The vehicle registered in your name failed to come to a complete stop which constitutes a violation of Section 4.0 of MRCA Ordinance NO. 1-2005 as amended. Below is a link that talks about the above letter in more detail. I wonder what else is next. http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/17/1742.asp
ExtraHye
Oh it also said: We're sending you this letter as a courtesy during the first 30 days of our MRCA Photo Stop Sign Enforcement Program to remind you to drive safely and to adhere to all traffic laws. Yervant1
I could eat, talk on the cell phone and drive my car at the same time. Edit: Oh and listen to music. But I'm a good driver. I'm not as bad as I used to be. The only reason I was doing that was because I didn't want to be late for collage which was right after work. NO wonder
