Glad to hear that. Even though I spoke perfect

Arabic in several dialects icluding

Syrian, Lebanese and Jordanian among others,

it was the the first one I lost. Could it be that I never liked the

damn language?

Here is your first and second question.

Am I right to remember that "alQaeda" means

"the registerd"?

More importantly.

I have come to the conclusion that, despite all

the allegatioins that the Mamikonians awere of

Asian/Mongolian origin, according to Khorenatsi they are

from the east, perhaps from Media or even Kashmere,

yet my guess is that their dynastic name smacks of

Arabic/Aramean.

It may have originated during Tigran !! conquest of

those lands and that their name is a corruption

of "mamlikun",i.e conquered, subjugated, and that

they came to Armenia during those days and were

nicknamed so. Of course we know where the Mamluks

of Egypt got their name.

Mabsoot Kteer,To Arpa:ALQaeda means,"AL" is equalevent to"THE" in english,"QAEDA"means"BASE".The Mamaleeck are mostly Charkas and Chechen and Georgians,they were taken to Eagpt whene they were young and raised to be soldiers and after a while they even rulled that countrey and they distroyed the Kingdom of Cilicia.The wright ward is "Mumlookeen"it means "Owned",in arabic history books they use the word "Mamaleek",I hope this help a little.True Jordanians say "GAWAK".By the way i charish being Jordanian Armenian and I have all the rispect and love for Jordan specialy the Royal family
