This idea of taking virus to kill bacteria has been taken from the URSS.

 

The advantages compared to antibiotics is that if the bacteria becomes resistance through natural selection there will be some virus strain that will also evolve and can kill the new evolved bacteria. It is a natural selection war.

 

But there is a major problem with this, it is that the immunity of an organism will react to kill the virus before it can possibly penentrate the intestinal wall, it is hard for a virus to penetrate it before being killed, unless they reproduce by using our own cells (the need cells to reproduce), and this is for sure not what we want, as we will be using viruses that use specifically bacteria's.

I agree with you, but who knows , we might as well take a chance and see what happens.....
