Graduate of YSU Academy of Philology and Linguistics, 1948. Major researcher at the Institute of Language. His major works are mainly lexicography, dictionary science and philology. Among many papers and monographs are his volumes- Homanishner@ Zhamankakakits Hareneri/Synonyms of Modern Armenian, Zhamanakakits Hayots Lezvi Batsatrakan Bararan etc. The work that I have been invoking is Hayots Lezvi Homanishneri Bararan/ The Armenian Dictionary of Synonyms, 1967, a tome of 683 oversize pages and 83,000 entries. I hope from now on when I again invoke his name it will not be taken as a synonym to “Jesuit” or a person per se or other, but refer to the title of his book, which btw is too long and cumbersome to type as you can see above.
