Arpa
A PM, 3 FMs and an ugly bird. As we speak, the PM of Lebanon Mr. Siniora is in conference with the FMs of France, Pakistan and Malaysia to find a formula for an international peacekeeping force. We can understand France, maybe Malaysia and Pakistan but what business does that ugly bird have to do with peace in the ME? Whose idea is to include Turkey in the formula? Is it a deja-vu of the Ottoman hegemony in the region? Or is Ankara a suburb of TelAviv and a substitute to IDF? American turkey indeed!! Gobble gobble to you too! http://www.kidzone.ws/animals/turkey.htm Turkey's Lebanon Shame As Israel prepares it's genocidal onslaught on Lebanon by extending it's ground offensive, it is becoming apparent what Israel and it's co-sponsors in state terror, Britain and America, are actually looking for. The idea of a multinational, European Nato lead force is being called for to be inserted into the Lebanese border region with Israel. At the heart of this proposed force is the call for the bulk of the troops to come from Turkey. The aim of such a 'peace keeping' force is clear. It is not designed to protect the people of Lebanon. If that was the case then these troops would be sent in immediately; they are not. No, these troops are designed to enforce the military gains that Israel is attempting to make right now by occupying Southern Lebanon. This is why British and American leaders are continuously making the argument that an immediate ceasefire is not what is needed, the 'framework' for 'lasting' peace needs to be in place first. They are deliberately using stalling tactics so that Israel can make further military gains and inflict more carnage on the people of Lebanon. They know full well that while fighting continues, something which Israel refuses to stop, no such troops are even going to set foot in Lebanon. Clearly Israel has learnt lessons from it's previously failed Lebanese occupation and the experience of American troops in Iraq. So rather than Israeli soldiers having to run and face the gauntlet of occupying enemy territory, what better than to use Turkish Muslim soldiers to do the job instead? The Turkish military leadership is shamefully ready to comply. Rather then sending Turkish troops to defend the people of Lebanon from the medieval siege and barbaric killings the Israelis are inflicting, they will send their troops to aid Israel. What an act of treachery, from yet another Muslim country, Muslims are having to witness. Yet this is not going to surprise Muslims around the world. The Mustafa Kemal inspired Turkish leadership has a friendship treaty with Israel and allows the Israeli air force to train in Turkish airspace as well as having close military to military contact. Yet this is despite the overwhelming Turkish feeling against America and the European Union because of their policies towards issues such as Israel. Turkey's foreign Minister Abdullah Gul recently acknowledged this, saying "Moderate liberal people [in Turkey] are becoming anti-American and anti-EU…. If our young, educated, dynamic and economically active people become bitter, if their attitudes and feelings are changed, it is not good. Their feeling has changed towards these global policies and strategic issues." The Turkish people are Muslim and like other Muslims want their problems to be solved in line with Islam. The fact that Turkey's military is ready to fight Kurds in Turkey and Iraq, who are also fellow Muslims, illustrates the identity crisis Turkey's secular establishment has created ever since Mustafa Kemal destroyed the Caliphate in 1924. The Muslims in Turkey want their armed forces to protect their fellow Muslims in Lebanon, not work against them. They want them to stop the Israeli butchering, such as what the world has just witnessed in Qana. The Muslims in Turkey don't want to see their sons die whilst protecting Israel. The Turkish establishment has a clear choice. To offer assistance to the people of the area or betrayal. The demand from the Muslim world is that Turkey end its it's friendship with Israel, cut all economic ties and use its extensive armed forces to protect the innocent. Members of Hizb ut-Tahrir, Britain ====== Even if I don't share their extremist Islamic position, see what "tahrir" means. Noun 1. Hizb ut-Tahrir - the most popular and feared Islamic extremist group in central Asia; advocates `pure'' Islam and the creatioon of a worldwide Islamic state Synonyms: Freedom Party Edited August 16, 2006 by Arpa
Arpa
OK! Alright! Enough of that bombastic Allahuhulabaoo! Now, let’s see some action . Let’s see how they can redirect their firecrackers and cherry bombs on that bigger nest of inequity of the regional bullies, and in their jargon, an evil more anti-Muslim than TelAviv, aka Ankara. Let’s see how big their Islamic gonads are. Or is it that in the mosques of Ankara they invoke the name of Allah as opposed to Elihu/Yahweh ** in the Synagogues of TelAviv? ** Can someone educate us as to what the difference between Elihu and Allah? The hell with their Elihu and Allah as long as they leave our Astuats alone.
Arpa
Armenians of Lebanon opposed to deployment of Turkish forces.
